In managing projects it is of essence to control the compliance of the progress with the schedule (time), the budget (cost) and the scope of work (quality).
A Cost/Schedule Control System (C/SCS) provides a way to compare the combination of cost, time, and performance. It measures how well a project is doing on these constraints compared to the plan. The planned cost is documented in the budget; the planned time is documented in the schedule, and the performance is defined against the scope and quality.
This lecture introduces the key elements of this approach based on the so called Earned Value and the indicators that can support project manager, project planner and controller, aiming to improve the effectiveness of project control.

Antonio Calabrese,意大利米兰理工大学管理学院教授,MBA、EMBA中心主任,米兰理工大学EDP中心负责人,欧盟战略项目管理硕士学位教育联盟(MSPME)负责人,IPMA(意大利)副主席。Antonio Calabrese教授长期在米兰理工大学、英国Heriot—Watt大学、瑞典Omea大学开设项目管理课程,在项目管理相关领域出版专著十余部。
